Review of Steam Vac Dual V with Spinscrub

Steam Vac Dual V with SpinscrubI have now purchased 3 of these machines. The first one was returned to the store less than 6 months after it was purchased because the intake water bucket broke where the handle connects to the bucket and locks down the lid.At the time we returned the first one, we got one for my mom and another one for me, thinking that perhaps the first one was just faulty. Not true. The two new machines broke in exactly the same manner.I have had my machine less than two years and the motor has now burned out on it.You cannot get replacement parts. If you call Hoover for help, you get a “voice mail” runaround. They ended up sending me to a “dealer” that was 20 miles (one way)from my house and when I got there, she informed me that not only did she not have replacement parts, she didn’t even sell that machine!I thought this was going to be a great machine – it does a pretty good job of cleaning, but the plastic buckets need to be overhauled. Also – the hand-held attachment for cleaning upholstry, etc. does not work that well.Instead of water coming out and spraying like it should, it just dribbles down your arm.I hate to badmouth a product, but I will never buy another Hoover product again. When will manufacturers learn that we would rather pay a little more for a durable product than less for a cheap one.
